What is a Full Circle Doula?

FullCircle Doula Services strives to provide excellent care and quality services to expecting mothers and their families. We are trained and certified doulas, specializing in providing prenatal, birth/labor, and postpartum care. FullCircle understands that birth isn't just about the health and wellness of the baby, but also the mother. We often say "We Work For You.", to drive home the importance we place on working for/with mothers who's goal is being a holistically healthy and knowledgeable parent.

Our mantra is, "Birth Without Fear" labor and birth can make any mother anxious. FullCircle doulas see no reason why fear should be added to the mix. Which is why we work hard to educate mothers, their partners, and families about maternal health and wellness while preparing for labor.

Meet your Doula

Iman has over twelve years of experience as a birth worker and advocate. She gained her doula certification with International Center for Traditional Childbirth (ICTC), in Portland, OR, under the instruction of Shafia Monroe. Iman is passionate about birth education and advocacy for all expecting parents, especially mothers of color. Black women are disproportionately at risk in the state of America’s healthcare system and often don't receive all the knowledge then need to make educated choices on the the type of birth experience they want. Married with one child of her own, Iman wants all expecting parents to learn to birth and parent without fear and be confident in making educated decisions about their and their families' care.

Iman’s birthing and doula philosophies are “Birth Without Fear” and “Mother First”. With evidence based facts, knowledge, and the release of negative thinking birthing parents can work towards not having fear of the process and live in their power. Mothers and birthing people often think of themselves secondarily. But your child is growing inside you, if you are not fully taken care of the entire process can be much more difficult. Parents must take good care of themselves so they can be the best for their children. Together as a team that is Iman’s goal.

Iman currently resides in Montgomery, AL and travels throughout the state working with families and expecting parents.

Meet Kamorria: A mother of two Kamorria resides in Saint Petersburg, FL. “Growing up I always knew I wanted to do something with babies and birth. While my younger sisters were watching a “Sabrina the teenage witch”, I was watching TLC’s “a baby story”. When everyone wanted to play with Barbie, I was changing and swaddling a baby doll. I had no idea that as an adult I would discover it was my true calling.” Kamorria’s first experience with a doula was when her dear friend and Iman offered to be her doula for her water birth, “I could not believe there were people that would give you their time to be an aid to you during this special time. Someone there to be your advocate, and make sure you and your loved ones are comforted.” Kamorria knew she wanted to provide that same love and energy to other moms. Kamorria is a self-taught doula and has apprenticed for 5 years under ICTC trained doula, Iman Seraaj- Blanche. She has attended more than 20 births and has knowledge and experience with helping families conceive and maintain healthy pregnancies. Her philosophy is; firmly believing that every woman deserves the birthing experience that she desires. Every birth is different and unique and it is a doula's job is to be there for her as an aid through this special time. Kamorria is passionate about birth education and an advocate for women. It is her mission to ensure that every mothers’ desires and wishes are respected so she and her loved ones get the best birthing experience possible.
